MANUFACTURED JOONGWON Electric co., ltd. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF THE PHOTO ETCHING
PROCESS?
1. LOW COST TOOLING Other processes require elaborate tooling, much of which must be done by hand or mechanical process. Tooling in the photo chemical machining operation is done primarily through a series of photo graphic steps, thereby increasing accuracy and reducing tooling costs. Tooling costs van be as little as 1/50 of that required for other processes.
2. SPEED OF DELIVERY When time means money, the photo chemical machining process can save the user thousands of dollars and very significantly reduce the project critical path length by delivering the parts much faster than by any other method. Other processes require up to 6 months delivery time.
3. TOOLING MODIFICATION mum cost. The photo chemical machining process allows the designer to practical experiments at a minimum cost. Furthermore, through changes in the manufacturing process, it may be possible to change hole sizes, two widths, and so forth, without any changes to the tooling. If a design concept us untried, the designer should consult with the fabricator to select the layout which will allow the most flexibility for change at the mini
4. BURRING Some processes give finished pars a burr which amy be detrimental to the functioning of the parts. In the photo chemical machining operation the part configuration is achieved without any surface burr.
